{Fun Friday} Flat Stella's Travels

Where in the fabric pile

Who knew getting ready for a Pinterest

Party could be so much fun?

Happy Friday, SEBTS girls!!

{Fun Friday} Flat Stella’s Travels

Flat Stella is still running around…..Let’s see where she has been this past week.
Oh the fun…the SEBTS Mailroom and our friend Ben.

Where else on campus could Stella have some fun?  Appleby?…

Practice makes perfect Stella, or as piano teachers say “perfect practice makes perfect”.   We can just imagine your music.

So, where else is there music?
The sounds of many voices….  Camp High Hopes with the YMCA has been using campus facilities as hundreds of children and youth enjoy the day.  Way to stay in shape Stella!

Well, it must have been time to cool off after all that recreational fun.  Here we have Flat Stella with Shelly Moorehouse…

Both her and her husband are seminary students at SEBTS, and they hosted a car wash and bake sale to help raise money for their adoption.  (They are adopting a little girl from Bulgaria.)  Flat Stella  just happened to show up, good job volunteering Flat Stella

Flat Stella also wanted to make an announcement...

Women’s Life is hosting a “Living Proof Live” Simulcast, this Fall.  On September 14th, 2013.   Flat Stella would love to invite all ladies to join us.  The sebts.edu website has a banner currently running with information on the event.

And finally, Stella was able to enjoy a lunch with the Women’s Life Office on behalf of their lovely leader, Denise O’Donoghue.  It was a Happy Birthday for Carrie and Liani.

Continue to let us know where you are enjoying your summer ladies...Flat Stella is having such a fun summer with you all!

{Fun Friday} Flat Stella's Travels

For the last couple of weeks, including Independence Day, our newest friend, Flat Stella, has been traveling around with our SEBTS Ladies learning about what they’re doing this summer.  Let’s see where she’s been lately…

Last week, we found Flat Stella enjoying more Mexican food at Las Margaritas!   She was spotted eating with Carrie and Val.  Las Mas was the place to be and waiter Jorge didn’t mind serving Stella!  She was a little afraid of ordering the water (you know - because it can make paper wrinkly), so she just asked for the lemon…since she’s flat she just absorbed the scent.
Upon feeling fresh and lemony…a stroll through the beautiful SEBTS campus seemed just the thing to do…
The sun does have an adverse effect on paper though (think fading)…so she decided to find some air conditioning…
And boy did Flat Stella find air conditioning :)  Ahhh, the best cold air on campus can be found in the Library!  Not to mention the knowledge to gain.
She tried to get her very own PhD Student desk to study in…but she wasn’t quite qualified, so she decided to move on to bigger & better things…
…like San Juan crabs!

Yes, those are true San Juan crabs from the islands out west (by Washington state)!  Stella showed up in Washington during the July 4th week.  She and Liani went for a visit & found these super tasty crabs.  She got a bit nervous b/c they were in water and we all know that paper and water don’t go well together…

So even when she got to see the amazing snowy blanket that covered Mt. Baker (in Washington state) she avoided the snowball fight between Liani and her relatives.  Poor Stella…we must laminate you.

When Stella got back to NC, she found that a warm hug from a sweet friend was just what she needed.
Flat Stella also traveled to Boston with one of her favorite SEBTS ladies, Emily, and a group of students to work with two Boston-area churches on their outreach to their community.  She helped pass out invitations to soccer camp.  Oh, Stella loves soccer!
Here’s Flat Stella with two of the girls who helped with the soccer camps in Boston.  They helped her learn to share God’s love with others :) Aren’t they all three beautiful!!
Next, Stella came back to NC…but not to our office.  She showed up in the Outer Banks, trying to work on her tan.
Stella, there is just no stopping you!  The Wright Brothers Museum?  Are you studying flight?
We think the Wright Brother’s Museum may have inspired her because the last place we saw her was packed into Drew’s suitcase.
Guess what that means?  Flat Stella’s going to Ireland!!!
Travel safe, Flat Stella, and tell the world about Jesus!

Keep sending us your pictures girls!  We love seeing what you’re up to!!
