Time flies when you’re having fun!
Fun is definitely what we’re having in the Women’s Life Office. It truly is such a blessing to do what we do. The more Southeastern girls we get to know, the more we love our jobs. What a treasure it is to be able to encourage & love on you girls!!
For the month of March, we’ve got some neat things lined up. We have not only 1 but 2 events for our Southeastern girls, Easter break is happening at the end of this month, and we’ve got some pretty amazing folks lined up as our guest bloggers. Let me get right to it:
1. College Girls Night with Mrs. Akin:
This is happening TONIGHT!! And it is not too late to decide to join us. I’ve already been on the phone with Mrs. Akin this morning, and she’s putting a lot of thought, love, and goodies(!!) into this event. So if you’re a girl at the C@SE, you do not want to miss this! The party starts at 7pm at Magnolia Hill. Call or email us if you have questions.
2. "So, What’s the Big Deal about Easter?" series on the blog:
Dr. Keith Whitfield & his wife Amy have agreed to do a 4 part series for our blog that answers the question: “So, what’s the big deal about Easter?” We cannot wait to see what they come up with. We’ve asked him to write from a theological perspective and her to come from a more practical point of view. These posts will be live every Wednesday for the month of March…so keep checking in; you’ll want to read these!!
3. Project: Compassion - loving those who are hurting.
3. Project: Compassion - loving those who are hurting.
March 18th, 7pm, Ledford:
We are so excited that Dr. Steve McKinion and his wife Ginger have agreed to be with us for Project:Compassion. If you’re unfamiliar with their story, the McKinion’s youngest son, Harrison, has been battling a form of Leukemia since December 2011. The McKinions will spend their time sharing what it’s like to minister to people who are dealing with difficult and heartbreaking circumstances, as well as what it’s like to be ministered to in the midst of such times. We think this is going to be so helpful, as we all seem to know someone who is facing heart wrenching trials.
4. Biblical Women’s Institute:
Term 4 in the BWI will begin next Tuesday, March 12th. We’ve got a great line-up of classes (if I do say so myself!). If you’re interested in enrolling but haven’t done so yet, applications are due tomorrow, March 5th. If you’re already a student, you’ll still be able to register for classes until the 12th.
5. Easter Break!!
You’ll get an entire week long break at the end of this month. Easter Break will be from March 25-29th. Know that we are praying that it will be a wonderful time of refreshment for each of you!
